Pros: A large 2.3L engine and light weight make this a tough contender. There is lot of experience and high performance parts available building up the 2.3L engine. Abundant and CHEAP parts. With an approved racing fuel cell, explosions should be minimal.

Cons: Inferior leaf spring and A-Arm suspension. A lot of work will be needed to keep the pinto nuetral through the corners.

Porshe 914
Pros: Light weight, built for sports. Nuetral driving.
Cons: Expensive parts and high maintenace. Fans love to see a Porshe get smashed.

BMW 2002
Pros: Like the Porshe this car was built for sport. Independent Suspension. Will be able to pick up some time through the corners. Lots of racing resources available.
Cons: Its cult status makes it hard to find and parts are expensive.
The 2.0 engine may not keep up in the long stretch. High-maintenance.

Pros: Similar to the BMW 2002. Independent Suspension. Fuel Injected.
